Tiffmaker50
A powerful tool to produce TIFF files from text-based documents and image files.
TiffMaker50 is a small and compact DLL aimed at producing high-quality TIFF files (either multi-page or single-page) out of any ASCII or Unicode-based document.
The DLL’s GUI gathers all the settings that you can apply to the TIFF file so that the output file looks exactly the way it should look. Here you can apply changes to the font of the source text, as well as re-define the dimensions of the page. This is terribly useful especially when the source file carries no layout specifications, such as an ASCII-based document. Here you can define the character’s width according to the selected font, the blank space left at the top and the left of the page, the number of lines per page or an optional page break string. Besides, you can select an image from your system to be used as a “canvas” or as a background for your pages. But probably the main asset of this DLL is the possibility of choosing among 22 different TIFF presets to be applied to your output file. Here you will find settings for various TIFF Groups and types, as well as different uncompressed TIFF types. Here is where you can also select a different image file format – PNG, BMP, PCX, GIF, and four JPEG specifications based on the final output quality.
Unlike the better-known – and a bit more user-friendly - TiffMaker Desktop Version, this Visual Basic 6 DLL version comes with no batch conversion capabilities, so if you want to use it as a stand-alone application, every text file needs to be converted into TIFF or any other image file format on a one by one basis. This DLL also lacks the feedback about the progress of the conversion process that you can find in the desktop version.
